Feautures of the spiralocks
Spiralock — very handy accessory that is great for hair as well as for dreadlocks or braids. It's are the most simple, effective, safe, ethical and funkiest tie you will ever use in your locks, comfortable to wear and doesn't harm your curls in any way.
We use soft wool and finish the tie off with a tapestry criss cross thread. Wire is inserted through the centre of the wool to make it bendable and able to be wrapped around dreadlocks to secure them back and out of the way. It is soft and won't snag your dreads and makes tying back dreadlocks a breeze.
Spiralock is made using an inner bendable wire core, which can easily be wrapped around any size dreads comfortably and securely. Soft on dreads, yet supportive. They cause no damage to your dreads and hold firm all day without causing tension headaches from pulling. When not in use, they can double as a simple bangle for easy reach.
About correct size choosing
The spiralock should be wrapped around the dreads 2.5 times for a good and secure hold, so be sure to measure the circumference of your dreadlocks before ordering.
Some advices for choose your size:
- 30 cm (12 in) — for non dreaded thick or curley hair, or half dread updos;
- 40 cm (16 in) — for new, thin or short dreads;
- 50 cm (20 in) — for medium dreads;
- 60 cm (24 in) — perfect for thick, mature, long dreads and dread buns and up styles;
- 80 cm (32 in) — extra long for heavy dreads that are waist length or longer, also great for big dread buns that need a couple of wraps to hold secure.
